The Paramount Theatre is a historic venue that features music concerts and other performance arts. The theater, located in Wayne County in the city of Goldsboro, dates back to 1882. Rebuilt in 2008 after a fire completely devastated the building, the Paramount resumed full operation and hosts a number of diverse concerts and performances. The theater seats 500 seats -- 350 in the lower level and 150 in the balcony. The Paramount brings in local bands such as the Lindsey Family and the Malpass Brothers during the "Best of Wayne" and "Wayne Community Concert" concerts. The Broad Street Café features live music from many genres, including folk, rock and indie five nights a week. Local musicians such as Lacy Green, Near Blind James and Harmonica Bob, and Gentle Robot frequent this location, and the weekly open-mic night allows for budding artists to showcase their talent. The Beach House is the only dedicated outdoor concert venue in Wilmington.
