Why use digital circuit?

There are several advantages to using digital circuits over analog circuits:

Reliability: Digital circuits are generally more reliable than analog circuits. This is because digital signals are either "on" or "off", while analog signals can vary in amplitude and phase, which makes them more susceptible to noise and interference.

Accuracy: Digital circuits are also more accurate than analog circuits. This is because digital signals can be processed using boolean algebra, which is a very precise mathematical system.

Size: Digital circuits are generally smaller than analog circuits. This is because digital circuits can be fabricated using very small transistors, while analog circuits require larger components, such as capacitors and inductors.

Power Consumption: Digital circuits consume less power than analog circuits. This is because digital circuits only use small amount of electrical energy during the clock pulse

Integration: Digital circuits can be more easily integrated with other digital devices or components, such as microprocessors and memory chips.

Digital systems have greater noise immunity compared to analog electronic. Digital logic circuits usually operate with voltage ranges at around ground (GND) or power supply (VDD). These clear reference thresholds enable them to effectively ignore signals or spikes within certain voltage intervals or noise thresholds which is particularly useful in industrial settings and other areas prone to electromagnetic interference.
