Visit a virtual piano website.
Press a key in the middle row of your keyboard. The Virtual Keyboard website uses keys "A" through the quotation marks key to match up with the whites notes of the piano. Press and release one key in this row. You will hear a piano note through your computer speakers. Look to see which virtual note moves as you press on your keyboard. For instance, the keyboard letter "J" matches up to the "B" note on the keyboard.
Press a key in the "Tab" row of the keyboard. The Virtual Keyboard website uses the keys "W," "E," "T," "Y," "U," "O" and "P" for all of the black notes on the piano. The letter "W" matches to the note "C#" and the letter "E" matches to the "D#" note. The letters continue to match the actual piano scale.
Play the keyboard letters like you were playing a regular piano. Virtual Keyboard has programmed the keyboard to mimic the arrangement of playing an actual piano. Play single notes using the keyboard as well as full chords.
