How to Play Music From iTunes With Nokia Speakers on VLC

The iTunes music manager and media player software allows you to categorize and search your music collection. If you want to play music from iTunes in the free open source VLC player instead, use iTunes to find the music file's location on your hard drive, then open it in the VLC player, which will automatically play the music using your set of Nokia speakers.

Instructions

      Plug your Nokia speakers into your computer. Right-click the sound icon in the Windows taskbar, then click "Playback Devices." Click on the icon for the Nokia speakers, click "Set Default" and click "OK."

      Launch iTunes. Navigate to the song in iTunes that you want to play in VLC. Right-click the song, and select "Get Info." The song's location on your hard drive appears next to "Where:," at the bottom of the window that pops up.

      Click the "Start" menu button, then click "Computer" to open Windows Explorer. Type the song's location into the address bar at the top of Windows Explorer, and press "Enter."

      Launch VLC. Drag and drop the song from Windows Explorer into VLC. The VLC player automatically begins playing the music over your Nokia speakers.
