Who invented the first electric radio?

The invention of the first electric radio is credited to the Italian physicist Guglielmo Marconi.

In 1894, Marconi conducted his first successful experiments with wireless communication, transmitting electric signals between two points separated by several hundred feet. By 1895, Marconi had succeeded in sending and receiving Morse code signals over a distance of more than two kilometers (about 1.2 miles).
