How do you search music?

Using Search Features on Music Platforms

Here's a general guide on how to search for music on popular music streaming platforms:

Spotify:

1. Open the Spotify app or desktop client.

2. Click on the "Search" icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

3. Type in the name of the artist, song title, or album you want to search for.

4. Spotify will display a list of results matching your search.

5. Click on the artist, song, or album you want to play.

Apple Music:

1. Open the Apple Music app on your device.

Additional Search Tips:

- Use quotes " " around your search terms to search for an exact phrase. For example, searching for "The Beatles" will return results that include the band name, while searching for The Beatles without quotes may also return related results.

- Use the "-" operator to exclude terms from your search. For example, searching for "rock -metal" will return rock music results but exclude metal music.

- Use the wildcard character "*" to find variations of a word or phrase. For example, searching for "mus*c" will return results for "music," "musician," "musical," etc.

- Check the "Genres," "Artists," or "Albums" tabs on music streaming platforms to browse curated lists and discover new music.
