Who is guitarist Brian James?

Brian James Lewis (born 18 February 1955 in London, England), known professionally as Brian James, is an English guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the original lead guitarist of the punk rock band The Damned.

During the late 1970s, he collaborated with Captain Sensible on numerous projects. In 1980, James formed the rockabilly band The Lords of the New Church with Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys. Later in his career, he performed solo under the name Brian James Gang and produced several albums for other artists.
