Yes, Eric Clapton was in the group Traffic. He joined the band in 1967, replacing original guitarist Dave Mason, and remained a member until 1968. During his time with Traffic, Clapton contributed to two of the band's most successful albums, "Traffic" (1968) and "John Barleycorn Must Die" (1970). He also co-wrote several songs with Traffic frontman Steve Winwood, including the hit single "Dear Mr. Fantasy". Clapton left Traffic in 1968 to form his own band, Blind Faith.
