Tech N9ne has been recording and performing music for more than two decades. Many of his albums feature collaboration tracks with other rap artists and groups, such as Tupac Shakur, D12 and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
Tech N9ne and Travis O’Guin launched the Strange Music recording label in 1999. The label has recorded albums for artists such as Kutt Calhoun, and the duo Skatterman and Snug Brim.
In 2009, the rapper was presented with an mtvU award in the “Left Field” category. The award honored Tech N9ne’s creativity and his “out of left field” impression on the music industry.
In 2008, Tech N9ne’s album sales surpassed 1 million, making the rapper the best-selling independent hip hop artist in music history.
Tracks by Tech N9ne have been featured in films, video games and television. His track “The Beast” was included in the soundtrack to Madden NFL 2006.
