David Michael Murray (born 23 December 1956) is an English musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Murray was born in East London and began playing guitar at the age of 15. He joined Iron Maiden in 1976, replacing Terry Wapram.
Murray is known for his distinctive playing style, which incorporates a variety of techniques, including legato, tapping, and alternate picking. He is also known for his use of harmonized guitars, which create a full and textured sound.
