How did Kiss drummer Eric Carr die?

Kiss drummer Eric Carr died on November 24, 1991, from complications of heart cancer. He was 41 years old. Carr had been diagnosed with the disease in 1990, and had undergone surgery and chemotherapy. However, the cancer returned and he died less than a year later.
