How to Get Eva Longoria's Body

Eva Longoria's character Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives wears revealing clothing. At times on the show, she's wearing only a bra, panties and a skimpy robe. At only 5 feet, 2 inches tall, Longoria knows that even a few extra pounds on her tiny frame is noticeable. Here's what trainer Patrick Murphy does to get Eva Longoria's body fit, trim and into her size 0 clothes.

Instructions

    • 1

Plan to work out at least three times a week. Longoria meets with her trainer three times a week for an hour each time. She hates going to the gym, so the trainer comes to her home gym.

    • 2

Tailor your workout to include all-over body exercises. To get Eva Longoria's body, you must do core and strength training exercises that she does such as lunges, squats and push-ups on a balance tool such as a Bosu dome.

    • 3

Go power walking. To get her cardio workout in, Longoria power walks to burn plenty of calories and because it is easier on the joints and muscles than jogging.

    • 4

Know the right foods to eat. Longoria doesn't diet, she simply eats healthy foods. She likes to eat foods high in protein such as egg-whites either by themselves or in an omelet, as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables. She also has low-fat yogurt before her morning workouts.

    • 5

Alter your workout to keep it from getting tedious. Longoria's personal trainer changes her workout so that Eva doesn't get bored with it. One day she bikes, the next day she hikes and runs the day after that. Do the same because when you become bored with a workout, you are less likely to do it.

    • 6

Vary your workout to see results. Longoria's trainer varies her workout so her muscles don't get used to the same motions, eventually leading to minimally noticeable results.
