Write down all of the TV shows that you would like to watch. If the show is on air and you know the channel that it appears on, write that down as well. If there is a particular season of the show that you want to watch, note that, too. This makes searching for the show easier and more streamlined.
Turn your computer on and access the Internet. The easiest TV shows to watch online are the prime-time shows that air on CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox and the CW. Go directly to their websites to watch episodes of shows such as Criminal Minds, Desperate Housewives, The Office, Glee and Gossip Girl. Some networks, such as USA and Lifetime, also let you watch their shows online, and so you can view Psych, Monk and Project Runway for free as well.
Choose a show you want to watch, go to its network's website and under the Episodes link choose the show and episode you want to watch. A screen will pop up, and you may have to watch advertisements every 15 minutes or so. Some networks allow you to view the show in high definition (HD).
Go to Hulu.com, YouTube.com or TV-links.cc to find TV shows that may not be on networks and early seasons of shows that are on networks. All of these websites allow you to watch TV shows for free. All you have to do is type in the name of the show you want to watch to see if it is available on a website, and then choose the episode you want to watch. On YouTube, sometimes it is best to type in the names of actors in the show instead of the show title because some people upload shows under the star's name and not the show's name. So if you don't see your show listed, it may come up with other applicable search words.
