Internet TV consists of video and audio signals delivered to a computer, television screen, cell phone or hand-held mobile device over an Internet connection. It is also called Internet Protocol Television (IPTV).
IPTV gives you the advantage of watching movies, news, sports, television networks, educational programs, comedy and all other TV programming on demand. You are not restricted to a television broadcast schedule.
During the final quarter of 2009, subscriptions to IPTV reached a global high of just under 30 million. Most subscribers were from China, the U.S., Korea and France. It is available in 50 countries as of 2010.
It may not be convenient for several people to watch TV on a computer screen. Electronic devices are available that allow the data to be transmitted to your television screen.
