To remove a 1996 Chrysler LHS radio, you will need the following tools:

* A Phillips head screwdriver

* A flat head screwdriver

* A flashlight

1. Disconnect the battery. This is important to do to prevent any electrical damage to your car or radio. To disconnect the battery, open the hood of your car and locate the battery. It is usually located in the front of the car, on the passenger side. There will be two cables connected to the battery, a positive cable and a negative cable. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts on the cables and remove them from the battery.

2. Remove the center console. The center console is the plastic piece that surrounds the radio. To remove the center console, start by removing the screws that hold it in place. There will be two screws located at the front of the center console, and two screws located at the rear of the center console. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully pry the center console off of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage any of the wires that are connected to the center console.

3. Remove the radio. Once the center console is removed, you will be able to see the radio. The radio is held in place by four screws. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully pull the radio out of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage any of the wires that are connected to the radio.

4. Disconnect the wires. There will be several wires connected to the radio. To disconnect the wires, simply use a flat head screwdriver to pry the connectors loose. Be careful not to damage any of the wires.

5. Remove the radio. Once the wires are disconnected, you can remove the radio from the car. Be careful not to drop the radio, as it is a delicate piece of equipment.
