Measure the width of your head at the forehead and add one inch.
Cut a piece of fleece 13 inches long and as wide as the measurement obtained in the first step.
Fold the fleece in half wrong-side-out so the 13-inch edges are together. Glue the edges together or sew them using a blanket stitch, leaving a 4-inch section unsecured at one end. If you used glue, allow it to dry thoroughly before proceeding.
Make a ½-inch horizontal cut just under the glued seam. Turn the hat inside out and fold one unglued edge over the other. Glue or sew the two edges in place. This side will be the top of the hat.
Print out the "Wonder Pets" template on the Nick Jr. website. The template includes components used to make the "Wonder Pets" flyboat and logo.
Cut out each shape in the template and trace it on the appropriate color of felt. Each piece will be marked with the appropriate color: red for the boat and the W in "Wonder Pets", white for the sail, blue for the wheels, mast, and part of the "Wonder Pets" logo, yellow for the wheels and the background of the "Wonder Pets" logo and gray for the mast head.
Cut out the felt pieces and arrange them into a boat shape as shown in the resource. Place the "Wonder Pets" logo on the sail.
Glue or hand sew the felt pieces in place.
Cut a 1-by-6 inch strip of red fleece and tie it tightly around the hat two inches down from the top.
Cut 1-inch strips vertically in the top of the hat to make fringe.
