Was any of captain hornblower filmed in rye Sussex?

While the C.S. Forester novels that inspired the Hornblower series are set in the English Channel, there's no evidence that any of the film or television adaptations were actually filmed in Rye, Sussex.

Here's what we know:

* Filming Locations: The various Hornblower adaptations were filmed in a variety of locations, including:

* Malta (for many of the seafaring scenes)

* The UK (including various locations in England and Scotland, but not specifically Rye)

* Spain

* Croatia

* Romania

* Hungary

* The Czech Republic

* Rye's History: Rye is a charming coastal town with a long maritime history. It played a significant role in English naval history, making it an ideal setting for a Hornblower story. However, it's important to note that filming locations are chosen for practical reasons, such as availability, budget, and aesthetics.

* No Specific Mentions: No official sources, cast interviews, or behind-the-scenes information explicitly mention Rye as a filming location for any of the Hornblower adaptations.

While Rye's history and setting are perfect for a Hornblower story, there's no evidence that any part of the series was filmed there.
