What are all the notes on a keybored?

White keys:

* A

* B

* C

* D

* E

* F

* G

Black keys:

* A♯/B♭

* C♯/D♭

* D♯/E♭

* F♯/G♭

* G♯/A♭

Note that the black keys have two names, one sharp and one flat. This is because they can be used to raise or lower the pitch of a note by a semitone.

For example, the black key between A and B can be called either A♯ or B♭. If it is played with an A, it will raise the pitch of the A by a semitone. If it is played with a B, it will lower the pitch of the B by a semitone.

The black keys are arranged in groups of two and three. The groups of two are called "whole tones" and the groups of three are called "semitones".
