To eliminate split screen on a flat-screen TV:

1. Press the "Menu" button on your TV remote control.

2. Navigate to the "Picture" settings menu.

3. Select the "Picture Mode" setting.

4. Change the picture mode to "Full Screen" or "Normal".

5. Press the "Enter" button to save your changes.
