Who created the VCR?

The Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was invented by Charles Ginsburg.

* Charles P. Ginsburg (June 15, 1920–March 30, 1992), an American engineer, is credited with inventing the video cassette recorder (VCR).

* He filed the first patent for the VCR in 1951.

* The first VCR was introduced commercially by Sony in 1971, and it went on to become a huge success in the 1980s and 1990s.
