How Do I Get Tickets to the American Idol Finale?

Each season of "American Idol" culminates with a finale show, in which the top two finalists compete to win the competition. If you'd like to attend the finale, you cannot purchase tickets. Instead, tickets are given out for free on a first-come, first-served basis to fans who are signed up on the ticket waiting list. As of 2011, the waiting list sign-up form was only available online. You can also attempt to win tickets through a variety of contests.

     Go online to the official "American Idol" website.

     Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Show Tickets" link under the About section.

     Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your name and contact information in the online form.

     Click the "Submit Form" button. You will be notified if your name is chosen.
