What is the first movie trilogy?

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919), Genuine (1920) and From Morning to Midnight (1920) are considered by some to be the first movie trilogy. The films were produced by German Expressionist filmmaker Robert Wiene and star Conrad Veidt.
