The story follows the life of Sura (Vijay), a happy-go-lucky youngster from Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Sura and his friends (Vadivelu and Suman) have a carefree life, spending it on adventurous and sometimes hilarious escapades. Sura's life takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with Shakthi (Tamannaah Bhatia), the daughter of the city's most influential and strict MLA (Dev Gill).
Despite facing opposition from her father, Sura and Shakthi continue to meet and grow closer. At the same time, Sura's playful nature gets him into trouble, and he finds himself facing off against two deadly criminals known as the "brothers," who want to kill him.
