Can you just leave the vhs tapes for recycle?

VHS tapes are not accepted by most recycling programs, so they cannot be left for recycle. The plastic used to make VHS tapes is not easily recyclable and the tapes also contain metal components. Check with your local recycling center or waste management facility for more information on how to properly dispose of VHS tapes. Some recycling centers may accept VHS tapes for recycling if they are properly disassembled.
