Who Is Rudy Youngblood?

Rudy Youngblood is a Native American actor "of Cree, Comanche, and Yaqui descent" according to the Internet Movie Database website. He is best known for playing the lead role of Jaguar Paw in Mel Gibson's 2006 film "Apocalypto."

    • Born Rudy Gonzales on Sept. 21, 1982, he graduated in 2000 from Beltran High School in Texas. His nickname is TeeDeeNae which means "strong boy" and he is 5 feet 11 inches tall. The actor never officially changed his last name to Youngblood.

    Work History

    • In the 2007 issue of A&U Magazine Youngblood is said to have worked a variety of labor intensive jobs such as "a brick and rock layer, carpenter, landscaper, plumber and electrician." He has been hired to play the role of Brandon in the movie "Beatdown" which will be released in 2010.

    Fun Facts

    • Youngblood has several tattoos, including a wolf on his back, rain on his chest and an eagle on his arm. During his interview with A&U magazine he said blue was his favorite color and named chicken as his favorite food.
