The film begins with Annie dreaming of a better life. One day, a wealthy and eccentric business tycoon named Benjamin "Ben" Stack, played by Jamie Foxx, accidentally comes across Annie while walking through the streets of New York City and is instantly smitten by her charm and optimism. Ben decides to take Annie in for Christmas, which sparks a wild adventure for Annie as she adjusts to her new life of luxury.
