Open a new document in the word processing program. Select a font type that is easy to read, such as Arial or Courier. Courier is often used by film professionals when writing, and may make a film actor's profile appear more professional. Then, choose a 12-point font size from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Enter the name of the actor at the top of the page in bold writing. Press the "enter" key four times on the keyboard, and write the words "Contact Information" using a bold font style. Type the actor's residence information, such as the city, state and country under the heading. Then include a current contact phone number and email address where the actor can be contacted. Type the information on individual lines.
Select the "enter" key twice, and write "Description" with a bold font style. Write the actor's gender, age and race under the description heading in single lines. Then include the actor's physical attributes, such as height, weight and hair color, as well as eye color and shoe size. This information is used for casting and costume purposes.
Hit the "enter" key twice and type the word "Availability" using a bold font style, to inform casting agents of the actor's open schedule. Enter the days and times the actor is available for shoots and performances on separate lines below the availability heading. For example, if the actor is available Fridays evening, then write "Friday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m."
Write "Biography" as the next heading with a bold font style. Leave a double space between the availability heading and the biography heading as well. Write a brief biography about the actor under the biography heading, including the actor's interests, special talents and acting skills. The information in the biography aids casting agents in placing actors in special roles that highlight the actor's talents.
Revise the actor's profile after writing the detailed information, to ensure that all information is correct. Avoid placing outdated information in the document, to prevent stifling the casting process when a producer or agent reviews the profile. Save and print his profile on completion.
