While she tragically passed away in 2001, Aaliyah was scheduled to star in two other projects:
* Queen of the Damned (2002): This horror film was based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name. Aaliyah was cast as Akasha, the first vampire, but her role was ultimately played by Stuart Townsend after her death.
* The Matrix Reloaded (2003): Though there are conflicting reports, it is generally believed that Aaliyah was offered a role in this sequel to "The Matrix." She declined the offer, reportedly due to a busy schedule.
