Which wickes store was the filming location for movie fish tank?

The Wickes store in the film "Fish Tank" is not a real Wickes store. The film's director, Andrea Arnold, chose a former Woolworths store in Croydon, South London, for filming. The store was specifically chosen because it was vacant and allowed for the creative team to transform it into a believable and authentic environment for the film.

While it's understandable to think of it as a Wickes, the film uses a generic "DIY" store aesthetic that could easily be any chain. The choice was made for practical reasons, and the setting is not intended to be a specific brand.
