Why did they perform at 3pm the globe?

The Globe Theatre was an Elizabethan playhouse in London that was open from 1599 until 1642. It was one of the most important theatres in the history of English drama, and was the home of William Shakespeare's company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men.

The theatres performances did not start at 3pm. Theatres, like The Globe, were traditionally not heated and had no lighting inside the theatre. People went to the theatre in the afternoon because natural light was the only way to see the stage and because the light from the sun created a "golden" glow that made the actors' skin appear flawless and the overall lighting of the play more appealing.
