How many Miss America pageants has there been?

There have been 94 Miss America pageants. The first pageant was held in 1921 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. However, the first pageant called the "Miss America Pageant" was held in 1935. The pageant has been held annually ever since, with the exception of 1943 and 1944 when it was cancelled due to World War II.
