Did Oprah Winfrey give Dr Phil his show?

Dr. Phil's talk show, "Dr. Phil", was not given to him by Oprah Winfrey. He developed and pitched the idea for the show himself, and it was produced by Peteski Productions in collaboration with CBS Television Distribution. Oprah Winfrey was not involved in the creation or production of Dr. Phil's show.
