Understanding the Catching Show
The Catching Show is a special Contest held in the Contest Spectacular, a massive building in Veilstone City. You can compete in the Catching Show only once you've reached the "Super Star" level in all four regular Contest categories (Cool, Beauty, Tough, and Cute).
Getting Started
1. Travel to Veilstone City: Head to Veilstone City and locate the Contest Spectacular building.
2. Enter the Contest: Talk to the Contest Coordinator inside the building.
3. Choose Your Pokémon: You can only choose a Pokémon that has reached the "Super Star" level in any of the four regular Contest categories.
4. Prepare Your Pokémon: Equip your Pokémon with appropriate Contest items to boost their stats in the Catching Show. There are items specifically designed for the Catching Show, so make sure to check your inventory.
5. The Catching Show: The Catching Show doesn't involve battling. Instead, you will be judged on your ability to catch a wild Pokémon within a set time limit.
How the Catching Show Works
1. Capture: When the competition starts, a wild Pokémon will appear. You have a limited time to catch it.
2. Catching Techniques: You can use various techniques to increase your chances of catching the Pokémon. These might include:
* Poké Ball: Use Poké Balls to try and catch the Pokémon.
* Berry: Some Berries can help you catch a Pokémon easier.
* Appeal: Use your Pokémon's Appeal to make it more likely to be caught.
3. Judges' Scoring: The judges will evaluate your catching skills based on various factors, such as:
