He was a famous (and very vain) wizard who claimed to have won numerous awards and accolades, including the "Most Charming Smile" award, "Witch Weekly's Wizard of the Month" for three consecutive months, and, of course, the "Duelling Champion" title.
However, it was later revealed that Lockhart had fabricated his entire career and accomplishments, including his claim of being a duelling champion.
