Why does Ellen say anyway at the end of every show?

Ellen DeGeneres never actually says "anyway" at the end of her show. She does, however, often end her show with "That's all the time we have for today, but you can catch us tomorrow for another episode of 'The Ellen Show.'"

It's possible you're thinking of a different show or have misremembered the phrase.
