What kind of an award show is the Grammys?

The Grammy Awards, or simply the Grammys, are presented to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. The awards are given annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) of the United States.

The Grammys are considered one of the four major annual music awards shows in the United States, along with the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, and the Country Music Awards.
