How to Float a Hard-Boiled Egg
It may not beat pulling a rabbit out of a hat, but floating an egg in a glass of water can draw a crowd. Eggs, when placed in water, usually fall to the bottom. This occurs because the egg is denser than the water. Using a few simple household items, you can demonstrate an important scientific principle and have fun doing it.
