- Darth Vader will always start the battle with a series of powerful Force attacks such as Force Choke, and Force Repulse.
- Wait until he attacks, then either sidestep or dodge (press “O” on the PS2, “B” on the Wii, or "A" on the 360) to evade them.
- If Vader uses Force Speed to charge directly at you, Force Jump (press "X" on PS2, "A" on Wii, "X" on 360) up onto a raised platform to avoid the attack.
- Now, Force Grip ("L1"+ "□" PS2, "Z" + "A" Wii, "LT" + "X" 360) nearby debris or rocks from the walls, and throw them at Vader with Force Throw ( "R1" + "□" PS2, "C" + "A", "RT" + "X").
- Repeat this process (dodge his Force attacks, and counter with your own) until Vader grabs you with Force Choke.
- When Vader lifts you into the air with Force Choke, quickly move the Left Analog stick rapidly back and forth until you break free from his grasp.
**
Second Phase**
- After recovering from the Force Choke, Vader will begin to use Force Speed more frequently, using it to quickly cover the distance between you.
- Again, avoid these charged by Force Jumping to safety when he charges at you, or by dodging to the side.
- If Vader grabs you with Force Grip this time, do not press any buttons. Instead, rotate the Left Analog stick rapidly to break free before Vader can toss you onto a wall.
**
Third Phase**
- After depleting Vader’s health by about another third, he will now pull out his Lightsaber for a final confrontation.
- Darth Vader will now try to overwhelm you with rapid saber strikes. As such, it is no longer safe to Force Jump away when Vader charges at you, as he can easily reach you while you are in mid-air. Instead, rely entirely on your dodge move to evade his attacks.
- When trying to dodge Vader’s saber swings, make sure you are dodging in a direction that does not put you too close to a wall. If you get backed into a corner, Vader can trap you there and deliver a flurry of strikes that can be difficult to dodge or block.
- Use Force Grip/Throw whenever possible to give yourself some space to evade Vader's attacks, or to pull him towards you so you can land some counterattacks.
- To counter Vader’s attacks effectively, time a Force Push after successfully dodging his saber strike. Using this technique, you can throw Vader off-balance and leave him vulnerable to attack for a brief moment.
- You can also counter his saber attacks by using your own lightsaber attacks – just make sure you are dodging his attacks first!
- When Vader attacks with his Force Choke for a third time, you will need to rapidly rotate the Left Analog Stick AND hold down the Force Button ( "L2" PS2, "ZL" Wii, "LT" 360) break free.
