Why did Harry Potter take Draco wand?

In the Harry Potter series, it was not Harry Potter who took Draco's wand, but rather Dumbledore who took Draco's wand at the end of the sixth book, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Dumbledore took Draco's wand because he suspected that it was being used for dark purposes and wanted to keep it out of Draco's hands. After Dumbledore's death, Harry obtained this wand, believing it to belong to him at first but later learned differently in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." So Dumbledore, not Harry, was the one who disarmed Draco of his wand.
