How do you prevent the horn from honking when locking Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011?

There are a few ways to prevent the horn from honking when locking your Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011.

1. Use the "Quiet Mode" feature:

This feature allows you to lock your vehicle without sounding the horn. To activate Quiet Mode, press and hold the "Lock" button on your key fob for 3 seconds. The horn will not sound when you lock the vehicle, but the lights will still flash and the vehicle will still be armed.

2. Deactivate the "Honk on Lock" feature through Uconnect:

- Start the vehicle.

- Press the Uconnect button on the radio.

- Turn the tuning knob to select "Settings."

- Press the "OK" button.

- Turn the tuning knob to select "Vehicle Settings."

- Press the "OK" button.

- Turn the tuning knob to select "Horn Settings."

- Press the "OK" button.

- Turn the tuning knob to select "Honk on Lock."

- Press the "OK" button to toggle the setting to "Off."

3. Reprogram the key fob:

- Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position.

- Do not start the engine.

- Press the "Lock" button on the key fob for 5 seconds.

- Press the "Unlock" button on the key fob for 5 seconds.

- Turn the key to the "Off" position.

- Test the key fob to make sure the horn no longer honks when locking the vehicle.
