In Fellowship of the Ring in Lord Rings where do they destroy ring?

The One Ring is not destroyed in *The Fellowship of the Ring*.

The Fellowship is formed in Rivendell at the end of the book. Their mission is to take the Ring to Mordor and destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom. This journey, and the Ring's eventual destruction, takes place in *The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers* and *The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King*.
