Early Game (Levels 1-20)
* Route 2 & 3: These routes have a high concentration of easy-to-catch Pokémon like Pidgey, Weedle, Caterpie, and Rattata. These are excellent for grinding early on.
* Evolution Advantage: Evolve your Pokémon as soon as possible. This gives you a significant power boost.
* Focus on One Pokémon: Initially, concentrate on leveling up one strong Pokémon. This allows for faster progress and provides a powerful core for your team.
Mid Game (Levels 20-40)
* Route 16 & 18: These routes have stronger Pokémon like Mankey, Machop, and Growlithe. The high-level encounters make for faster EXP gains.
* EXP Share: This item doubles the EXP earned by your active Pokémon. Equip it to a Pokémon that isn't actively battling.
* Train with a Team: Start training multiple Pokémon simultaneously. Ensure they're at similar levels to maximize EXP gain.
Late Game (Levels 40+)
* Victory Road & Elite Four: These are your primary sources of high-level EXP. This is where you'll need to be at your strongest.
* "EXP. All" Trick: If you have a team of high-level Pokémon, consider using the "EXP. All" trick to level up weaker Pokémon quickly. This involves having a high-level Pokémon defeat a wild Pokémon, then letting the other Pokémon in your team take turns knocking out the wild Pokémon before it faints.
* Catching Rare Pokémon: Pokémon like Chansey, Snorlax, and Lapras provide an enormous amount of EXP when defeated.
Additional Tips:
* Utilize Abilities: Abilities like "Pickup" can help you find rare items that increase EXP gain.
* Train at Night: Certain Pokémon have higher encounter rates at night, potentially boosting your leveling speed.
* Use Repels: Repels keep weaker Pokémon from appearing, allowing you to focus on stronger battles.
Remember:
* Choose Pokémon You Enjoy: The best way to stay motivated during grinding is to use Pokémon you genuinely like.
* Don't Be Afraid to Restart: If you're feeling stuck, don't be afraid to reset and start again.
Have fun leveling up!
