Here's why:
* Porygon's Debut: Porygon first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue, but it was not available in the Generation IV games (Diamond and Pearl).
* Later Introductions: Porygon was reintroduced in Pokémon Black and White and has been available in subsequent games.
If you want to catch a Porygon, you'll need to play a game where it's available, such as:
* Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal
* Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, White 2
* Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire
* Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon
* Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee
* Pokémon Sword and Shield
* Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (although it's not a native encounter)
Hope this helps!
