Step 1: Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides.
Step 2: Hop on one foot to the right and slap the palm of your right hand with the palm of your left hand.
Step 3: Hop on one foot to the left and slap the palm of your left hand with the palm of your right hand.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3, alternating feet and slapping hands with a clap.
Step 5: As you clap your hands, swing your arms back and forth in a circular motion.
Step 6: Continue clapping and swinging your arms for 8 counts, or as many as you like.
Step 7: To finish the hand jive, step both feet together and raise your arms overhead.
