Did the girls in The Crucible really summon any black magic?

There is absolutely no historical evidence to support the claim that the girls from The Crucible summoned black magic. The book is a fictional dramatization of the Salem witch trials and presents the girls as victims of mass hysteria and theocratic oppression rather than as practitioners of black magic.
