What happened to Hagrid after the battle at Hogwarts?

After the Battle of Hogwarts, Hagrid was busy rebuilding the school's grounds and helping to take care of the injured. He was also appointed as a member of the new Hogwarts Board of Governors by Headmistress Minerva McGonagall. Additionally, Hagrid continued teaching Care of Magical Creatures to the students of Hogwarts, and he remained one of Harry Potter's closest friends.
