How do you unlock the Remains Island dungeon in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team?

You unlock the Remains Island dungeon via one of the special episodes when your rescue team's rank is D+. To access the special episodes press L on the overworld map once they are unlocked. It is recommended going with another Pokemon to make the dungeon easier.
