In Act 4 of neopets the darkest faerie how do you awaken legends?

In Act 4 of Neopia's The Darkest Faerie, you awaken legends by defeating the creatures guarding their slumber. These creatures are found in the following locations:

* The Shadowed Valley: Here, you face Avian, the Spirit of Fear. You need to defeat him in battle to awaken the legend of The Darkest Faerie.

* The Haunted Woods: Here, you face Shade, the Spirit of Nightmares. Defeat him in battle to awaken the legend of The Haunted Woods.

* The Whispering Caves: Here, you face Whisper, the Spirit of Lies. Defeat him in battle to awaken the legend of The Whispering Caves.

Once you defeat these spirits, the legend is awakened, and you'll be able to access new areas and storyline elements.
