Cream is introduced as a young rabbit who lives in a small village with her grandmother, Vanilla. Sonic and Tails meet them while searching for Chaos Emeralds, and Cream quickly becomes friends with Tails.
While not officially confirmed, it is generally understood within the Sonic canon that Cream and Sonic met in Sonic Advance 2.
