What happens in midsummer dream act 4?

Act IV, Scene I

• The lovers wake up in the forest, and Demetrius is now in love with Helena. Bottom wakes up and returns to his friends, who are overjoyed to see him.

• The Mechanicals decide to perform their play for the Duke and his court, and they head back to Athens to prepare. Lysander and Hermia head back as well.

Act IV, Scene II

• The Duke and his court arrive at the palace, and the Mechanicals begin to perform their play.

• The play is a great success, and the Duke is very entertained.

• The Mechanicals are rewarded for their performance, and the night ends with the Duke and Hippolyta blessing Lysander and Hermia's marriage.

• In Act IV, Puck returns and uses a love potion to make Demetrius fall in love with Helena.

• The Mechanicals' play is called Pyramus and Thisbe, and it is a very silly and ridiculous play.

• The Duke is very impressed with the Mechanicals' performance, and he rewards them with money and gifts.

• The night ends with the Duke and Hippolyta blessing Lysander and Hermia's marriage, and the play ends with a dance.
